Today is Juneteenth, the day in 1865 when emancipated slaves living in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free. The City of Winter Garden is celebrating Juneteenth this Saturday with a free community event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Charlie May Wilder Park. The celebration will include family-friendly activities, entertainment, community resource booths, and a variety of food and merchandise for sale.
